Children Need and Deserve Healthy Parents
Have you ever been on a plane and the flight attendants review the safety precautions? They inform us that if there is a change in cabin pressure, we have to put our oxygen masks on first, before being able to help others. If we don’t, we can die in the process. This is exactly how mental health works. If you as a mother are not well, your children will also suffer. You need to care for your mental health before being able to guide your children in theirs. I’m so glad that mental health care is more valued now, but there is still a lot of stigma— especially in the Hispanic community (and others!). Mental health care IS health care. You deserve to be well and your children deserve healthy parents.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is one-on-one help where we will focus on your own mental health struggles. What to expect at your first session? You can expect me asking questions to gather information about your current situation. From there, we will develop personalized goals for you to work on.
Group Therapy and Support Groups
Group therapy includes multiple people attending therapy at once, while one therapist facilitates the session. The people attending are usually going through the same thing. For current available therapy groups, click here.

Online Therapy
Online therapy includes having video sessions at the comfort of your own home. Some people prefer online sessions due to their limited availability. Most of my online therapy sessions are via video, but they can also be held over the phone. I am located in Bakersfield, CA and can offer in-person therapy sessions there, but I can provide online therapy sessions to anyone located in California.
